Using Interactive Tools

Therapist Aid does not collect information input during the use of interactive therapy tools. In fact, information and responses shared in interactive tools never leave your own device.

Interactive therapy tools are run “locally,” which means everything is happening on your own machine (rather than being sent to the cloud, or to Therapist Aid).

However, to provide interactive tool checkouts, Therapist Aid will collect a small amount of personal information. The information collected is necessary for the feature to function. This information includes:

  • The pages a user accesses on Therapist Aid
  • Internet and electronic network information, such as a user’s IP address and browser information

If you are a HIPAA-covered entity, you must obtain your client’s signature on a HIPAA Authorization Form before using our tool checkout feature. If you do not have one, a template is available here (HIPAA Authorization Form).
